- 21-08 Aerial Tree Cutting - 10-12 July - learn how to operate a chainsaw from a rope and harness including different types of handheld and freefall cuts, as well as identifying and completing pruning cuts in the correct position to aid the tree's recovery.
- 20-57 Woodchipper - 11 July - this includes basic generic and site risk assessments, current H&S legislation plus the practical elements such as carrying out pre-start and post-operational checks, routine maintenance tasks and removal and replacement of the chipper knives (where appropriate). You will be asked to operate the wood chipper in a safe manner taking into account site and operator safety.
- 20-03 Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting - 17-19 July - covering maintenance activities, starting procedures and health & safety issues and legislation plus cross cutting timber ensuring appropriate cutting sequence.
- 14-21 Brushcutters & Trimmers - 23 July - in addition to routine maintenance, blade sharpening and balancing you will discuss different types of brushcutter blade and find out what they are used for, and how to cut back growth in different types of terrain.
