Do you need a provisional FMO certificate? There’s a long history of Forest Machine Operations (FMO) certification and various organisations will need operators of forest machinery such as forwarders, harvester, skitters, etc. to hold a full certificate before operating on woodland they manage. But what if you don’t hold your ‘ticket’ but still need to work on one of these sites?
That’s where the Provisional FMO Certificate can help – it’s not quite what it was meant for originally but it’s an accepted means of showing your intention to gain your full certification. The certificate is only valid for 6 months and you will be expected to undertake your assessment within that timeframe. We can also sort out FMO training and assessment too.
Land Based Training can register you for your required FMO unit(s) and we can then issue you with proof of registration and a Provisional FMO Certificate; either you can organise an assessor or we can do that for you.
We often get asked about Provisional FMOC’s and if necessary we can usually turn these around within a few hours – get in touch or call us 01189 762903 to find out more.
